For the millionenth time... just because Joss Whedon was responsible for Buffy, does not mean I (and others) should just blindly jump into another show of his. There is no need for such silly man-loving.
No indeed. But the man has a pedigree, which must count for something. And as a promo line it's a lot more meaningful than the usual "From the Bureaucrat who put up the money for a well-known film which was successful recently".
Besides which, even if I agreed in principle, it so happens that Firefly is great. :-P
