Yes. I believe the young folk do say, "Squee!" in cases like this. And so do I.

I'm more concerned by the lack of Bookage, myself.

Am dead of excitement already.

P just wants to know how Kasabian - a bunch of guys from Leicester - keep getting themselves onto soundtracks.

That's a good point. I was focusing on the fact that there appears to now be sound in space, but I'm assuming that's a trailer device.

Also, when Mal says "It usually is" he has *exactly* the intonation of Classic Vecchio. Don't you think?

Some people always have to go one better. :p

I didn't even know who the music was by. Am no longer young and hip, clearly.

Your wide-eyed optimism strikes again!

Classic Vecchio

Well, now I'm just pleased they didn't go and change his wardrobe accordingly.

My comment on the music: by why's all the country guitar gone?

For the same reason River's doing what she's doing.

Look, there's no Kaylee either. I have to be optimistic. Plus, you saw the spaceships, right?

From: [identity profile] coalescent.livejournal.com
No, because the trailer is designed to appeal to however much of the Buffy audience never watched Firefly. Or watched but gave up on, or whatever.

Kaylee is there in the background. Book is not. The spaceships ... were definitely there.

Hey, look, it's The Fifth Element! Or wait, is it live-action Cowboy Bebop?

I don't know what else it could be because nowhere in the trailer does it say "Firefly". Since they somehow found the money to make a movie, why are they being so paranoid with the marketing?

I can't believe you noticed spelt Jayne's name wrong.

Also, IMDB lists Book. Although what do they know?

If only we still hung out somewhere that TIm Minear lurked...

They apparently think Serenity has higher brand recognition. Or is cooler. Or something.

And I have no idea where you're getting The Fifth Element from.

I'm such a bad fan. Oh noes.

Also, IMDB lists Book.

Yes, as far as I was aware he's in the movie. Hm.

If only we still hung out somewhere that TIm Minear lurked...

Well, if he's anything like Jeff VanderMeer and Batman he'll be rushing to comment now you've mentioned his name.
