My answer to the last question is ZERO!

Zero should have been asked in this poll?

Second to last question. :P

I like to bet on the winning horse is all ...

Yes, because your TBR pile is so eensy that you are going to slot in some books that aren't science fiction.
From: [identity profile] coalescent.livejournal.com
I'm 105 pages into the first book already. How d'you like them apples?
From: [identity profile] secritcrush.livejournal.com
Ask me when you've actually finished.
From: [identity profile] despotliz.livejournal.com
I think there is a powerful persuasive force you haven't allowed for, ie Nic's going to make him read them.
From: [identity profile] secritcrush.livejournal.com
Well I did consider it, but I didn't think the invitation to the awards ceremony was for two, so I figured she would use her mind control powers influence to make him read them.

Do I have faith in you to attempt to exorcise your male guilt by reading a shortlist of books you wouldn't otherwise read and which includes one book by a new writer which didn't make it onto the Orange Prize's own best new writer shortlist? Youse betcha, buddy!

Don't be too moved, now.

I owned the Desai and had the Guo on my wishlist before the shortlist was even announced, so that's only four books I wouldn't otherwise read. :-p (And isn't that, you know, one of the points of awards?)

I liked Shakespeare Code all the way through UNTIL they got to the whole end stuff (i.e. back in The Globe). Then it was silly.

And I'm not watching Heroes but hit your no by mistake, you could've had another option in there for not watching and reworded your question!

I also wanted "Zero" for your penultimate question. Take heed Syd.

If you insert "kind" between "some" and "of" in the above comment, it might parse a little better.

Having watched "Evolution of the Daleks" and "The Lazarus Experiment" (I'm coming off a TV glut right now - all the Heroes, Veronica Mars and Doctor Who I missed these last two weeks), I think that as with Torchwood, there ought to be a third option. This time it should be INDIFFERENT! I'm having a complete non-reaction to season 3, mainly because halfway into the season I still have no idea who Martha is or what she wants - beyond a romantic relationship with the Doctor.

hello
