Well, next weekend I'm going to a last-get-together-before-Eliot-leaves party (he's going gallavanting around the world); the weekend after that is my last day at Hammicks, so I suspect I'll be doing something with that lot; and the weekend after that, I have just decided, will be spent here. If I can work out how much it costs.

I'm not quite sure how I've ended up being organised for my next three weekends. It's a nice feeling, though.

Lucky bastard, I'm so jealous!

Incidentally, that 'anime all nighter' which, if I have read the complete film listing, seems to only be showing 'Akira' and 'Macross Plus.'

Naturally, 'Akira' is very very good, especially the digitally-cleaned version on a big f-off screen (if feasible)

otherwise ...

'Macross Plus' is lovely lovely eye candy. Originally I wasn't all that keen on its love triangle plot, but it has grown on me. So, besides uber-cool transformable mecha jet fighters tangling through the skies of Eden ... there's a damn fine holo concert scene (boosted with Robotechnology, of course) which I think is a lovely live entertainment concept.

Too bad they aren't showing more recent things..

Hmm, I see there are at least two more films (am experience difficulties with naff Netscape shearing off bottom half of page).

Armitage: Dual Matrix - relatively recent Western release. Quite good for a sequel, but I found the world of Polymatrix a bit more interesting. In any event, Armitage is given much more humanity while also being toughened up a whole lot!

Patlabor II - yay! a fav, lovely lovely political intrigue fun. Slow moments in the middle, but overall very good for a Pat sequel (better than the latest)

Ooo! ooo! Watch this and tell me how it is!

Cube 2: Hypercube

Hmmm...survivalist strangers met the Tardis. :-)

I can already see the title for the next sequel 'Cube 3: Stringcube' ;-p
