I wonder if this will work?
And tangentially, going back to the short fiction thread from a few days ago, does anyone want to own up to being anonymous?
EDIT: Anonymous strikes again! Is my journal being invaded by the dark cabal?

Looking for Something New to Read? The sf titles look interesting, and appear to be a mix of fiction and nonfiction. 'The 'Velt' by Lucius Shepard is the one that grabs my eye first (although this thread makes me wonder if it's strictly a short story at all), but there's stuff by Mary Rosenblum, Michael Swanwick and others as well. The largest problem I can see is that they only seem to be offering the stories as HTML, which is frankly bizarre.
Amazon Shorts are brand-new short-form literature from top authors, available only on Amazon.com. Try a new genre or a new author -- there's something for everyone. It's all digital and only 49 cents. Amazon Shorts are:

Date: 2005-07-20 01:32 am (UTC)the music you pimp and I quite like has nothing to do with me. the other bits are totally factual. you are jealous because I am non-euclidian. (And how did that ever come up twice in two days with two unrelated folk?

Date: 2005-07-18 10:49 pm (UTC)If it's not sold in PDF I won't read it, cause I dislike reading long sections of prose on a lit screen, HTML does funny things when you print it out and I really really will organize my downloaded files better one of these days so I can find stuff in it without having to endure a thirty-min "Find" search. I've heard the new Mac OS X has some "searchlight" function that can Find Stuff Instantly, and there's Google for the desktop (the spousal overunit doesn't want it on his puter). But the truth is unless I specially mark a downloaded file the instant I download it, it generally gets lost in all the clutter.

I mock your inability to print documents other than those which are spoon-fed to you in graphical form.
