David Moles brings us some notes toward an infernokrusher manifesto (origin here; the two things you need to know here). My favourites of the catchphrases:
Explosion is the new transgression. Demolition is the new deconstruction. — Benjamin Rosenbaum

Instead of "Well, where are we slipping? Are we beaver-like dam builders, or just clumsy waders?" we can now ask "Are we glad things are on fire? Do we like to Krush?" — Meghan McCarron

More than the death of the Reader, Infernokrusher prizes the sudden, violent dismemberment of the Reader

Infernokrusher fiction explodes stagnant genre conventions, e.g., that it’s not okay to have all your characters run over by a monster truck in what would seem to be the middle of the story
In the comments there is a suggestion for All-Star Infernokrusher Stories. Hey, I'd read it.

I'm reminded of Charlie Stross's short-lived but nicely monickered 'technogoth' movement in the late 80s --I suspect he's forgotten it himself, but in an oddly self-fulfilling prophecy, maybe it's what he's writing now?

I love it. Especially "More than the death of the Reader, Infernokrusher prizes the sudden, violent dismemberment of the Reader".

I may have to become a writer, just so I can adopt the manifesto...

Movements rule!

I gave up on writing fiction a few months ago, but if there is an All-Star Infernokrusher Stories (Which is such a Wheatland Press title), I will dig myself out of retirement and write somethign in the vain hopes of being included in the beast.

Now, an alt Hist piece where Leni Riefenstahl's Triumph of the Will Nuremburg Rally shoot is disrupted by a prototype Monster Truck, that I'd read

My question is, what would infernokrusher slash fiction look like?

(I'm only half-sure I want to know the answer.)

My question is, why would you even ask that? In god's name, why? :p

What, you mean apart from the flie-drawer story I can now start submitting, all about Henry V and the Dauphin fighting Agincourt with monster trucks and flamethrowers but eventually looking tenderly into each other's eyes as an alchemy-derived atomic bomb lays waste to the battlefield?
