I use two phone-post mechanisms: there's sms_to_lj, for updates via SMS (the 160 character limit can be circumvented, but it's a bit of a chore), but I've recently swapped over to LJ2ME, which seems to work very well.
You'll be unsurprised to learn that I chose 'Mobile' in the LJ Development Poll. I really, really want to be able to browse my flist via the phone... responding to comments would be nice, too, but at least being able to keep up with things would be fantastically cool!
Sms-to-lj has served me well in the past (notably this time last year ... but yes, nothing beats actually being able to browse my friendslist properly and directly. With images, even! :)
