Busy Weekend
Nov. 15th, 2002 11:12 pmIt's all happening, this weekend.
First off, we've got two men in Simpsons costumes coming in to the shop tomorrow. This will either be entertaining, or deeply disturbing, with an outside chance of combining the two. It's also my first saturday working in the new shop; last week, they took about twice as much as was usual in the old shop...
On saturday evening, I'm off to Cambridge for a meet, there to see decent, upstanding folk such as
snowking and
despotliz (for the very first time) and less reputable types such as
mattia and (assuming he makes it)
pikelet for the second and sufficient times, respectively. I'm a bit blase about it all now, to be honest; I feel that I know the people involved quite well enough that a meatspace event is really no big deal. However, it will be the first time in many years that I've been to Tabland, and that is a big deal. I fully intend to spend sunday doing the tourist thing and annoying as many layabout student types as possible.
(There are plenty of other people attending this meet, but frankly I've lost track.)
And of course, sunday evening sees the last Angel episode until January. Which means I absolutely have to stay up to watch the wildfeed, even if it means I'm dead to the world on monday.
All in all, it should be fun.
