Crunch Time

So, does everyone remember that maybe-perhaps-medical writing work experience I might be getting? Turns out that whilst I was away, I was sent a test package. It contains a journal article on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and the instructions "...summarise the following in 300-400 words. Your article should be in the style of a journal aimed at general family practitioners; please see the attached example."

It also says I should get it done by the first of November. This made me panic somewhat, what with it now being the fifth and all; but I emailed the relevant individual, and they seemed quite reasonable about the fact that I've been on holiday. They gave me until monday to get it done.

What with graduation and the mad frenzy that surrounds Hammicks' grand re-opening on thursday, that leaves me tonight and maybe friday to get it done. And damn if it isn't scary; having written such bold statements as "I have an excellent command of the english language, and am adept at discussing complicated concepts in clear and precise langauge" in my covering letter, I've now got to sit down and actually prove it. Tonight.

Here goes nothing, I guess.

Whoa. Good luck. If there's an abstract with it, just use that as your main guide. I'm sure you'll do fine. It's not like your english skills are crappy.

It'll be fine. It doesn't sound that difficult - after all you do have a reasonable command of the english language, and I know a a lot of science students who don't.
