A guy can only go for so long without buying new music. Earlier this week I was in Sainsbury's, my willpower collapsed, and I picked up a copy of The Diary of Alicia Keys. Unfortunately, when I got home I realised I'd bought the wrong edition; the CD+DVD release is missing a track compared to the normal edition and frankly, I'd rather have the extra music than a DVD.

So, I went back to the shop and asked them if I could exchange it. No can do. Could I get a refund? Nope. They only refund or exchange damaged goods. Which I know is their legal right, but you would have thought that in the interests of customer service they'd do what everyone else does and at least allow you to exchange. It's all the more frustrating because the version I want is selling for more than the version I bought; they'd be making extra money! But no, they couldn't help me.

This album doesn't play on Macs. I wonder what they'd have done if I'd told them I only had a Mac to play CDs on?

Anyway, the moral of the story is, if you get a duplicate present this christmas you'd better hope it doesn't come from Sainsbury's. And in the meantime, can anyone download and burn 'Streets of NY' for me?

On an entirely unrelated note, on my way to work this morning I saw the most unusual car:

It was yellow, and angular, with wide tyres. It was extremely low-slung, and looked vaguely amphibious, but quite happy to trundle along at high speed. Anyone got any ideas what it might have been?
