Comings and Goings
Oct. 13th, 2002 01:02 pmI had a bit of a school reunion last night.
I'm actually quite impressed with the fact that I've managed to keep in touch with my good friends from Bluecoats. I think it may be something to do with the fact that, since the school was in a different town and had a large catchment area, my friends have alway been naturally quite dispersed, geographically, and we've always had to make a bit of an effort to see each other. Going to university didn't change that, whereas I get the impression that for some people I know, it did.
On thursday, Chris arrived back from his nine-month trip to Australia (complete with wild outback man hair). Today, Leo heads off to Exmoor to work as a volunteer on some National Trust reserve, for an unspecified length of time. This weekend, Ollie was back from Oxford to see his parents. In the middle of next month, Eliot is heading off on a round-the-world jaunt which is likely to last until the middle of next year. So we probably won't all be together again for quite a while.
We didn't do anything special; just got together and went to a pub in town, and talked. Then back to mine, via the kebab shop, for a few hours of Playstation fun. Your standard night out, in fact.
It was just good to get all caught up.

Date: 2002-10-13 05:21 am (UTC)You were wondering about a hairstyle not long ago. You should've really gone for wild outback man hair. A sensible choice, if I ever saw one. No, really.
