The Social Event Of The Season
Jul. 26th, 2002 01:41 amWell, that was fun. If there was some kind of set-up planned, I didn't pick up on it. Catherine (the sister) turns out to be just like Victoria only slightly more so in every respect, which is mildly disconcerting. Mike and Blerina had to leave early to go and check on a friend of theirs they were worried about. And the cake had risen hugely on one side and really not very much at all on the other. And I cut my thumb rather badly.
But overall, I think it was a success. I enjoyed myself, anyway, and it feels somehow appropriate that my last 'social' before leaving Oxford was with Mike and Tom, since they were two of the first proper friends I made here. I'm going to miss this place.
(Oh, and whilst I'm here - killing housemates who insist on being couple-y whilst you're trying to watch TV - that's justifiable homicide, right?)
