01. Slept through the biochemists' final year photo.
02. Had hot chocolate and cake in an Oxford cafe whilst it snowed outside.
03. Asked my tutors questions about the science in Stephen Baxter's Titan. During my university entrance interview.
04. Wedged a stop/go sign between the floor and the ceiling of my first student house.
05. Hosted the OUSFG library in my room - all several thousand books of it.
06. Been introduced to sable and ytalk and ox.clubs.ousfg by Tom (yes, it's all his fault).
07. Seen Sherlock Holmes Against The Martians. Stay loyal! Remain pure! Become Martian!
08. With Tom and Mike, stamped two-thirds of Oxford's colleges with the OUSFG library stamp.
09. Been to the top of Magdalen tower.
10. Punted for a whole day.
11. Stayed up all night on May Eve.
12. Started the infamous Six Ages of Angel thread.
13. Been to Picocon.
14. Attempted to stage a Biochemists' coup of Biosoc.
15. Lived in a college room larger than any single room I or anyone I know has owned.
16. Been to the motor show.
17. Written an immunology essay in the first person and put it on the web.
18. Been asked if I mind having my first-person essay used in an immunology textbook being written by a couple of postgrads living in India.
19. Discovered the joys of downloaded american TV.
20. Spent longer than is healthy in the Radcliffe Science Library.
21. Posted News from the RSL.
22. Survived Finals. Twice.
23. Stayed up all night with my friend after he fell out of a tree and cut his head open.
24. Seen two of my best friends get together as a couple.
25. Been dumped two days before New Years'.
26. Seen what a house looks like after one of your housemates has a manic episode and is sectioned.
27. Had a newsgroup created.
28. Understood the significance of tiny des.
29. DJed at Panic.
30. Eaten too many pancakes in the longwall quad kitchens.
31. Worked in a bookshop.
32. Persuaded Chris Rea to sign a children's book about trucks to 'piklet [sic] and sax'.
33. Almost been sued.
34. Written off a car.
35. Been immortalised in a webcomic.
36. Been openly laughed at by a girl when I asked her out.
37. Asked Margaret Atwood who her favourite SF writers are.
38. Been to the Eden Project.
39. Loved tha moon.
40. Bought a flat.
41. Wanted to fall in love
42. Wanted to push anyone who might get close away as a self-preservation instinct.
43. Done [41] and [42] at the same time. Which is an odd feeling, I can tell you.
44. Decided to learn how to cook (a bit).
45. Decided to learn how to progam (a bit.)
46. Argued vehemently about the definition and validity of SF. :-)

48. Submitted stories to Interzone.
49. Driven around my old school at 3am.

Just to be clear: Those don't all relate to the same incident. And 47 could be said to be something of a motif. But I'm glad they didn't fall out of my brain until I got into the 40s. Makes me think maybe I'm not too screwed up, after all. :)
