With respect to Dead Like Me - Look! It's not just me!
After the first 3-4 episodes, they moved into the meat of the story which is George finally learning how to live and interact with people. Something she avoided doing while alive. The problem with this series is you can't watch it the way SF fans usually watch a show: examining the premise and rules of this world. But this series isn't about the "rules", so if you look more deeply at the premise, the less and less it makes sense.

Unfortunately, you end up looking at the "rules" because the character story was so weak for so many episodes. They finally seemed to wake up and start telling their main story with the "leap of faith" episode and a couple before that.

That's pretty much been my problem with it. And I agree with this writer that the 'leap of faith' episode (being the most recent one I watched) was a step up.

Today I have also learnt that Bryan Fuller no longer works on the show, that there is debate about whether he jumped or was pushed, but that most posters agree that the resulting change in direction improved the show.

Oh, and the series has started on Sky now, for what that's worth. First episode repeated next wednesday 3am; regular slot friday evenings.

I'm using IE6 running under Windows XP.

For the record, I can't see your posts either Niall (until I highlight the text with the mouse).

I had a similar problem seeing a comment when I was using IE (can't remember what version) under Windows 98, but everything appears to work fine using Mozilla under Linux.

At home I was IE5 under Win98, which all looked fine. And here I'm IE on a Mac, which also looks fine. Grr.

Hey! Shiny S2 style :) You must have got further than I realised from your later post. And I can see all the comments using Mozilla Firebird 0.6.

Well, I've got as far as using the easy user-interface bit. Actually designing my own layout, which is what I really want, is still a bit beyond me...

And I can see all the comments using Mozilla Firebird 0.6.

...and I've still got to fix whatever it is that means some people can't see the comments. :)
