Every so often, I see somebody make a post (usually to a community) and note that it has been crossposted to such-and-such. Two questions:

(1) What's the etiquette? How miffed would people be if I started crossposting things between here and [livejournal.com profile] instant_fanzine, for instance?
(2) How do you do it? Nothing obviously leaps out at me from the FAQs - is it a case of people literally posting two copies of something (in which case I wouldn't bother - you want the comments page to be shared, surely...)?

AFAIK it's just posting two copies.

1) Not miffed at all. I've done it on JournalFen a few times. Only etiquette is generally that you announce either at the beginning or end, that it's a cross-post.

2) You just post the same thing twice, no other way to do it: copy and paste is your friend :)

Hmm. In which case, I'd have thought a link would be more elegant. Not sure which place I'd post the original to, mind.

In your example, do most people who read your journal also read instant_fanzine, and vice versa? Because it might become annoying to keep seeing the same things twice. Just giving a link in the second one would minimise that though, I guess.
