coalescentOK, this time it's for real: Angel has been renewed for season five. There's some bad news, however......Cordelia won't be a regular, and Spike will be. I mean, Spike? Gah. :-/

I agree that Spike seems to have taken over a great deal of Buffy, and I agree that the fundamental shift from championing the outcast to venerating the cool is Bad, but even so I think a decent chunk of S7 is pretty good stuff. Just, y'know, not as good as Angel. ;-)
I'd love to know the source for that 'Beneath You' comment, though; I knew Joss rewrote the scene, I didn't know he rewrote it in that way, and I think I might have preferred the original.
