One of the things we do here is record conference calls, with a MiniDisc setup much like the one [livejournal.com profile] eidolonarchie has been known to use to record authors. The upside is, it's much easier to go back through a conversation than to rely on whatever notes you manage to make at the time. The downside is that I really do not like the way my voice sounds from outside my head...

You get used to the sound of your own voice, after a while. Sort of. Well, if you're recording singing, anyway. Tends to be less offensive than the spoken word, unless, of course, you can't sing.
