Y'know, I've always read about how depressing it's supposed to be, firing off job applications into the ether and never hearing a word in response. Personally, I'm not finding it depressing (well, not very) - I'm just feeling slightly detached about the whole business, as though there really isn't anyone on the other end recieving my applications. This may be partly due to the fact that a goodly number of the things I send off go via email - clicking 'send' somehow doesn't have the same feeling of finality as walking to the post box...

I've got just under a week until I find out if I've got a job with GS, where I've been working for the summer.

Hmm, maybe when the head of my division said "would you take a job if we offered you it" the truth (dunno, ask me when I've done a few weeks worth of research next term) wasn't the best of plans. Ah well, I'll soon know...

Still, Niall didn't seem all that chuffed with the job, in the grand scheme of chuffed-ness. Maybe the parent buying a 2nd house was to blame though.
