Back at Picocon, myself, Tom [livejournal.com profile] greengolux and I believe [livejournal.com profile] elleblue were recruited by [livejournal.com profile] alexmc to review one book or another for Diverse Books ([livejournal.com profile] diversebooks). Lucky man that I am, I got a Smallville spinoff novel: Hauntings, by Nancy Holder. For anyone who's interested, the review was posted this morning.

You mark my words. Between this and [livejournal.com profile] snowking's proposed community, I'll be 'a respected internet reviewer' before you know it...!

'She's had pracice', has she?

Sounds like a skill, that does.

Sounds more like some nasty disease. "She had pracice a few years back, had a delicate operation, doesn't like to talk about it."

If you're a genius, you're an evil genius.

Although I do seem to have used up most of the EU colon mountain writing that review. Oops.

Cool..nice review, Niall.

Did you, what, hop up and down and go 'ooh! ooh! gimme book to review!', or something?

This bloke wandered over in search of people to review books, and Niall not-too-reluctantly agreed to review the Smallville one.

Took a lot more work to get rid of "C++ for Dummies", though.

I foolishly picked the really long and tedious book to review. I'm about half way through, but it just seems to go on forever, damnit!

Who knew a Smallville spin-off novel would turn out to be better than a 'proper' fantasy book?

Well, it was short. That's a major point in its favour. :-)

Argh.. yeah, I landed up with a C++ book. I'm not so sure that was such a good idea now.

Quit your whining
