There Can Be Only One...

A letter from college arrived this morning. It's an invitation to go up to Oxford next weekend and vote in the election for the new Chancellor of the university, helpfully telling me I can stop off in college for a snack if I so desire. I'm sure they sent it because they want as large an electoral turnout as possible, and not just because one of the nominees is ex-Magdalen.

Anyway, here's the list of candidates:

I've got to admit, I did a comedy double-take when I got to the bottom of that list. Sandi Toksvig? How'd that happen? I mean, I actually quite like her - but seriously, how'd that happen?

Following my own link, I discovered her manifesto. I'm glad one of the candidates has come out against top-up fees.
