Also, do you know his bed number at the hospital? Skype can't dial that direct number, and apparently the switchboard operators are unable to look up patients by name.
EDIT: Ah, they found him. Bed 14 "at the moment". There was some nonsense about making him walk down the hall (!) to get to the ward phone, at which point I decided I'd go back to texting/Twitter.
