The situation right now is that London is pretty much at a standstill - the tubes are closed, buses in the centre aren't operating, and some roads are closed off too. We're being advised not to travel anywhere unless we have to. Mobiles are pretty much out of action at the moment, although some texts can get through and some networks are limping along.
Tom, Mark and me are all ok. Tom and I are both waiting to hear from a couple of friends.
At the house we can hear sirens echoing all the way from central London, which is at least a couple of miles away.
London actually seems pretty calm, despite the disruption. If the terrorists think they have inspired actual terror, they should think again. We're British, don't you know, we don't *do* panic.
Good news: it seems that Viagra spammers and Nigerian fraudsters of the world remain unaffected by these events. Thank fuck for that. :-p
