Lack Of Coordination

coalescentI appear to have triple-booked myself for this saturday. The options:
Behind door number one, we have the OUSFG christmas party. If I didn't go, it'd be the first party I'd have missed since I came to Oxford. There will also be people there I haven't seen for ages. applez hit this country in december, I'll be back in Oxford anyway.
Behind door number two, we have a gathering of schoolfriends at Chris' house, occasioned by the arrival of his australian girlfriend on these shores. Much slacking and playstation-ing would follow, and it's not often we manage to coordinate enough to all get together. On the other hand, I saw everyone last night when we went to see Bond.
And behind door number three, we have umta's second birthday party. This would be the minimum effort option, since all it would require is that I sit in front of my computer for the evening. And I do feel that I've been neglecting the group somewhat recently, so it would be good to have an all-out posting spree, like the old days. On the other hand, in theory at least I can have a posting spree any day I like.
Right now, I have no idea which I'm going to do. Advice would be welcomed. In the meantime, I'll divert myself by doing one of those daft LJ quizzes, instead. Gacked fromthevoicewithin and despotliz.
... is the oldest?
This is where my knowledge of the OUSFG elders fails me. I think the oldest is probablycloudhigh, but it could be e_pepys.

Currently, none. Quite a few live in Oxford, though.

None. But most of those living in Oxford (and a couple not doing so) went to the same university...

tinyjo. She gave me the code, she was the first person I added. I think.

greengolux, since she's only just jumped on the bandwagon.
... do you think you know the most about?
Oh, tough. If we're talking factually - where they went to school, what their favourite films are, what the last book they read is - then nobody, really, since I don't have a good memory for that stuff. Who have I known the longest?tinyjo, oxfordslacker, squigglyruth and truecatachresis. But that doesn't mean I know them best. I think I've got a pretty good handle on most of you, though, maybe with pikelet and brassyn shading to the top of the list.
It may be evident from the above that I'm reluctant to ever say I 'know' somebody.

But including newsgroups and email?
despotliz, gagravarr, hawleygriffen, pikelet and mattia would probably top the list. But really, most people on a semi-regular basis, at least.

Nobody. But I like you all lots. :-)

brassyn, greengolux, pikelet, and tinyjo. Which makes it sound like I have nothing but contempt for the rest of you. That's clearly not true.

I'm tempted to answerpikelet, but that would be shameless slash-fan baiting (you know who you are), so I won't.
... do you think are the most poetic?
pikelet and hawleygriffen.
... do you think are the cutest?
Hem. Haw. Er, maybebrassyn, greengolux or hawleygriffen, although I'm not sure how they'd react to being described as 'cute'. Especially since I haven't met two of them in real life.
pikelet has the munchkin thing going on, which I suppose could be seen as 'cute'.

Nobody.

Probably plenty of the rest of you as well, but I tend to forget most of the arguments I have.

Now, let me get off my duff and share some wizened wisdom of the ages ... I dared miss one Christmas party, for something also fun and foolish ... bashing under Wales if memory serves ... and I received so vicious a berratement (okay, okay, okay - it was more a friendly 'where were you Zac?' over and over and over and ... you get the idea) that really truly, it is far better to go than not to. :-)
