Locus (the print version) reports that "Ken Macleod sold a new science fiction novel and an untitled fantasy novel to Tim Holman at Orbit and Patrick Nielsen Hayden at Tor via Mic Cheetham." Macleod does fantasy? Hmm...! Meanwhile, the other Macleod has handed in a fantasy novel and is working on some science fiction. As if it wasn't already hard enough keeping those two straight. ;-)
Grant Morrison's The Filth: Not just a guy thing. Although I'm not sure what to make of "Especially when it comes to sexuality, men are trained to think they’re in control of themselves. [...] and are sure they and all their friends are nice guys who would never assault anyone else."
Louis de Branges de Bourcia claims to have proved the Riemann hypothesis.
Harlan Ellison has settled with AOL.
A Year in the Linear City wallpaper makes me happy.
More bands should have songs with titles like 'Glamorous Indie Rock & Roll'. Particularly when they live up to the billing.
