Edited to say: So it chopped off the last five characters and ignored my capitalisation. Odd. Other than that, this looks pretty nifty.

I think there is a 150 character limit on SMS messages - and I would be very surprised if the gateway could understand concatenated SMS messages given how fussy it is about message headers.

If you had a futurephone you could send them by MMS - as you can send MMS to an email address and post using the email posting feature. Tis more expensive than SMS messaging though.....

With a futurephone, you can use a WAP portal :P

I will be getting a futurephone shortly. I may have to beat O2 around the head with sticks to do it, but it will happen.

If I could find a WAP portal that works and lets me update my livejournal via my almost future phone... then yes - I could

Your phone cleary sucks and is non-future. It's probably a smelly Nokia or something.

I'm sorry, my SonyEricsson has altered my brainwaves to ignore you. La-la-la-la-la.

I don't believe even that model of futurephone can generate brainwaves from no source material ... ;-P

Beware...

In my experience over the past year, O2 = TEH SUXX0R.
I was with Vodafone, but switched to O2 because they had the phone that I wanted. I had assumed that all the companies would be pretty much the same, in cities like Oxford at least, but their coverage here is pretty shitty whereas I almost never had coverage issues with Vodafone wherever I was. My contract ends soon, and I'm changing back like a shot.

Yeah, I know. However, I've never had serious problems with O2 outside of Oxford, I'm not really in Oxford enough to be that bothered by it an more, O2 are offering the best deal, and technically I'm already on O2 and can't really be bothered with the hassle (and cost) of changing.

So it's a combination of laziness and what seems sensible.

It is a Nokia. And it's only slightly futuristic.
