Music Swap
Nov. 2nd, 2003 08:06 pmI got to chatting with one of my colleagues, and discovered that we seem to share a taste in music, but that our music collections are non-overlapping. His covers 1985-1995, mine covers 1995-present. So I lent him Kings of Leon, Idlewild ('100 Broken Windows') and two varieties of Queens of the Stone Age, and he has lent me:
- Husker Du - 'Warehouse: Songs and Stories'
- Fugazi - '13 Songs'
- Bad Religion - 'Stranger Than Fiction'
- Shudder to Think - 'Funeral at the Movies' and '10 Spot'
- Buffalo Tom - 'Let Me Come Over'
So far, I've listened to the Fugazi (not bad, but none of it really grabbed me) and the Husker Du (excellent, in a mid-REM alt-rock sort of way). As far as working with people who are all older than you are goes, I think we can chalk this one up in the 'plus' column.
