GOOD or BAD: Summer miscellany

Once more unto the breach:

[Poll #1040140]

As ever, feel free to express your incredulity at others' choices in the form of a comment. For example: [livejournal.com profile] buymeaclue, why do you think it is GOOD that I have spilt tomato sauce on my copy of F100? [livejournal.com profile] despotliz, what have you got against mustard? Why do you all hate James Bond? And does anyone other than me even watch John From Cincinnati?

Well, plenty of them are actively bland, which is enough for me. I also object to the number of Next Gen refugees that turn up.

Well, that's to be expected in the first season, isn't it? I think the crossovers got toned way down in later seasons, maybe even the second. It's not a Stargate Atlantis situation, where four seasons in the writers are still using the (by now canceled) parent show as a crutch.

I'm now trying to make a list: Picard, Vash and Q, Lursa and Betor (I'd almost forgotten who they were)... I think there was someone else but I can't remember.

Lwaxana Troi in what, to be fair, is probably her least annoying appearance.

Yup, that was it.

It was a remarkably un-annoying entry in her repertoire, wasn't it? If memory serves, she shows up a few more times, and the relationship between her and Odo is usually a lot of fun.

Sort of like how the Ferengi episodes were always something you'd dread on DS9, and then they showed up on the otherwise vile Enterprise and it was a perfectly serviceable, even entertaining episode.
