GOOD or BAD: Summer miscellany

Once more unto the breach:

[Poll #1040140]

As ever, feel free to express your incredulity at others' choices in the form of a comment. For example: [livejournal.com profile] buymeaclue, why do you think it is GOOD that I have spilt tomato sauce on my copy of F100? [livejournal.com profile] despotliz, what have you got against mustard? Why do you all hate James Bond? And does anyone other than me even watch John From Cincinnati?

I am slightly confused on the swimsuits question. Are people voting based on the concept, or the execution?

Well, I know *I* was voting based on aesthetics...

I can't work out if the people mean "Swimsuits look rubbish" or "I'd rather swim naked". Damn that Niall and his ambiguous polls.

Oh. I see your problem. I did rather kinda assume the former. Clearly in the case of the latter, I wish to change my vote!

Several guys have voted BAD and [livejournal.com profile] rosefox has voted GOOD, so it's not a straight split.

I have to say, I take "swimsuits" as a generic term for swimming costumes of any kind word by either gender. Admittedly, it gets a bit silly to refer to, eg, baggy Hawaiian shorts as a "swimsuit", but the same is true of calling them a more gender-specific term like "swimming trunks".

Also the question says "swimming costumes".

[identity profile] grahamsleight.livejournal.com 2007-08-16 02:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Duh. So it does. Which would provide excellent reinforcement for my argument, if my argument wasn't now beside the point.

Mea culpa. Though my point still stands.

I also seem to have missed out the words "voting BAD" in the comment above too. Bugger.
