As someone who came across Ryan Adams in Whiskeytown days and has about half of his subsequent albums, can I just say that Ryan Adams is good, not great, with occasional flashes. It just seems that those flashes have blinded people to the low quality control of the rest. 3 albums in 2005 (one a double) ought to have been one max.

Actually I have nothing against Adams apart from those quality control issues, this is just my usual rant about one artist getting all the plaudits whilst others are virtually ignored.
